I don't think I've ever had a checkbook. On the off chance I have to write a check I go to the bank and get that sheet of 3 for $1

I still have checkbooks from 15-20 years ago. Have no reason to use them since we don't live in Boomerville anymore.

I write 1 a month maybe

fairly rarely, largely now for Mardi Gras business like Krewe dues and other related stuff...
If I paid with a credit card, there's 3% added and that turns out to be substantial enough warrant writing checks.

Only to our lawn guy who won’t take any other form of payment. It’s getting to the point that we may find someone else because we are about out of checks and those things are expensive to order.

About 10 times a year

Maybe once a year. Twice a year at the most.

I started writing a few more since because of the fee’s. My Heloc is $5.00 to pay online every month. That’s like 20 cases of bud light a year.

I tried this morning at the Express DMV but they wouldn't take it. Can you believe that? They took cash but no check.
Thank God for the Asians.

Been a while.
I did my son's tax returns for him and went with a paper check due to having experiences with taxes and direct deposit. He called me last night and asked what the letter from the treasury was. I told him it was his refund check. Had no idea what to do with it and was pretty pissed at me for introducing yet another chapter of adulting into his life LOL...Seriously had no idea what "endorse it" meant...college educated and only had, at best, a cursory idea of what a check was...he was smart enough to tell me to pound sand when I offered him 50 cents on the dollar when I did his returns...and smart enough to talk his mama into loaning him a dollar per dollar 2 weeks later..

The few times in the last 10 years i have, i have had to go to the bank to get one.
Other than that, i haven’t actually written a check in over 10 years for anything.

My hairdresser won’t take cards, and I don’t generally carry the cash required to pay for cut and highlights.
Our mechanic charges 4% extra for cards, and if my husband isnt doing the repair it is major, so 4% is significant.
So…one every six weeks and maybe one other a year.

Once a month I write a check, take a photo of it, send it to bank to transfer money.

That is a weird thing --- if I write a check to myself from a Whitney account, take a picture, and then mobile deposit to Schwab, funds are immediately available.
However, if I were to do an electronic transfer, same banks, same amounts, there would be a hold placed on the funds. Seems strange to me.

Only use checks and cash. Nothing else. I only use a card for tickets.

I use echecks a lot with www.SDBULLION.com
Writing a paper check? About 10 times per month. Charity and kids activity payment stuff mostly.
