I mask debate all the time. My wife hates when I do it though.
She particularly frowns upon doing it with strangers on the internet.

I don't. They are stupid to wear and don't do shite. No difference between a paper mask and a paper bag over your head.

I dont really debate it but I guess for me,I just dont make a big deal of it. And honestly, its not a big deal. People just want to have something to argue about.
Im talking about going into public stores. If you put a mask on for 5 mins while you run into the grocery store or liquor store, what is the big deal. It doenst change you as a person or make you a idiot. Its just a stupid mask.
Maybe it does nothing? Maybe one less person will become sick because you did it. Maybe no. Who really is that uptight that putting on a damn face covering for 5 mins out of their day makes them melt like some people are
I guess I just dont get it and why it is such a big deal for people.

I enjoy a good mask debate especially after it's been a while and I find a good Karen to mask debate to. Nothing like it.
But honestly. idgaf about 'if it saves one life, etc'. If a store is mask only, then I'm not going to patronize that store ever again. If all the supermarkets go that way, then I'll buy the more expensive meats online. I won't be a part of some totalitarian experiment. Chances are... most of the people I come into contact are more likely to die of a heart attack or cancer than Covid from me.
I have a friend who is a nurse practitioner who has always been a hard core leftist. She posted some animation of 2 people with and without masks. I commented that they didn't seem 6' apart. Then I said I disagreed that people should wear masks and go out when they test positive for COVID. She came back and said positive people shouldn't be out period. So then I asked her what was the difference then since the mask thing assumes everyone has it. I mean if it doesn't work for covid positive people... then why do it?

Plus when I see a cloth mask wearer in public I am happy they actually have a greater chance of getting the virus according to the NIH.
