When i had the 4Runner, never had a flat.
Drove a temporary family vehicle til i got my truck now, i had flats every other month. No idea why or for what reason but those tires picked up nails all the time. It would piss me off so bad because i was not doing anything different.
Truck now, never had one.

you get flat tires from glass?
Never had it happen until recently but definitely can cause a leak.
Started suspecting the neighbors when I found a few shards in the area underneath the windshield wipers.

I went a stretch where I got 3 or 4 punctures in different tires in a 6 months span. I changed my driving routes everything. I guess it was just bad luck cause it never happened again.

I’d say I get a nail in a tire/small leak 1-2 times a year including boat trailer. I don’t work from home tho so know how to plug a tire.
I’d say once in the last 10 years did I walk out to a complete flat. Again, I don’t work from home so put on the spare in 10-15 minutes and was on my way.

My wife is notorious for finding nails.

My wife, God bless her, calls me every so often bc she has flat tireS. 3 times she’s had the drivers front and back flat and once on the passenger side.
It considerably more difficult to fit a Jack under a car when both tires are flat.

I had about 18 flats by the time I was 23 (one was the same damn tire with a tricky leak, like 9 times). Just one since then though. I have all the tire skills.

Somewhat related… I run Michelin LTX tires on my F250. About 5 months ago I had a genuine blowout. Haven’t had one of those in 30+ years.
High pressure load range E tire blowout was explosive. Doing 72 when it happened. Bent my nerf bar up and trashed my quarter panel. Tires have come a long way and you really don’t hear about blowouts that much anymore. Surprised me.

We bought a new CR-V as my wifes daily driver.
Got 1800 miles on it and my wife curbed it on the passenger side.
Went flat. Called me, I left work to go look. Flat when I got there. Called local Honda dealer and they had one in stock. Took the tire and rim and they swapped it. Went back to school to put it on and as I stood up, looked at the rear side tire and it had a huge gouge in the sidewall, but was still holding air. Dealer did not have another.
So I swapped cars with her and drive slowly home and made it.
Called another dealer and they had one, so got it swapped later that day.
Two in one day on a brand new car

I’m on and off commercial construction sites regularly. I probably have to get a tire patched once a month or so. shite happens. When you put 2,000+ miles per month on you truck, you’re bound to pick some shite up in your tires.
