The funny thing is I'm pretty sure Nashville is no open container down town? Yet they allow party trollies.
New Orleans is open container, yet no party trollies.
Figure that one out..
Tennessee doesn't have an open container law for vehicular passengers. Only the driver can't be drinking.

Is Roberts Western World still hanging on? Been a few years since I went but that’s where I spend most of my time when I go.
Yes. It's Roberts, Legends Corner, Tootsies and Laylas
Oh yeah, and The Second Fiddle

I just hate that the old gritty original honky Tonks are being pushed out. Only about 3 remain. I miss going down there, sitting in a smokey bar room and listening to a real, live honky Tonk country band.
In high school our downtown hangout was Windows on the Cumberland. You had to know how to find it, but it overlooked Riverfront Park and would serve us booze at 16. We saw many good shows there. Primarily reggae and first wave ska, but also a mix of a lot of things.

That is because room availability didn't grow as fast as the popularity. Once the convention center opened demand for rooms went up way too fast. Most cities have around 60 percent occupancy on most weekends. There was a time in Nashville they were running 90 percent occupancy. Hotels will keep coming and lower that rate and fees will drop.

I guess more and more people are getting married these days. So much for the “studies” that say millennials aren’t getting married like previous generations.
Or more people are waiting longer when they're financially stable and have means to go to Nashville for a bachelorette party.

Women are cheap when it comes to bachelorette parties. For good reason—they can get the needed attention from drinking beverages from phallic designed straws in any decent sized town. Guys are buying bottle/table service for thousands of dollars for the aforementioned attention.

You sound like you might be old enough to have seen Afrikan Dreamland a time or two. Their reggae version is the only way I still like Rocky Top...

That's already in motion. Lots more capacity being added downtown over the next couple of years.
