How much would we save if "accidents" happened to heinous killers?

I am talking about pedophiles, serial,rapists murderers. People with life without parole 400 years sentences. Scum of the earth. Garbage that doesn't deserve to soak up our tax dollars watching cable television and living life.
What if we were to contract the services of some other violent individual with few qualms and promised him some sort of reward for taking care of a "problem" for us.
No inordinate amount of money spent on trying to execute them. No waiting periods. Just a Dose of actual justice served piping hot.

I wonder this all the time. Not necessarily some cynical means, but what would happen if whenever you effed up, you got your head chopped off or a hand or something? Would it really not deter crime anymore? I mean, aren't these people aware of their decisions when they commit these extreme crimes? Why should we show them mercy?
But of course I don't know all the perspectives, I'm not trying to be ignorant, just honestly curious at the effect this would have.

We would save a lot. Not necessarily the most humanitarian way of handling things, but yeah.

I would like to know the negatives to doing this. What is the other sides argument? Is it honestly just being humane?

Because the circumstances and variables that influence decision-making are essentially incalculable and also include dysfunctional brain activity that, when reduced, is no more the fault of the host than the color of the sky.

Right I remember now reading about this in college. Still, are these people worth keeping?

It's an interesting philosophical question, for sure. Beyond that, I doubt society is ready to address it (even if we were, there is so much money to be made in the prison industry).

A better solution would be to grant defendants a trial and one appeal if they lose. If they lost, the death penalty must be served within 3 months from the rejection of the appeal.

A psychopath is as responsible for the genetic makeup of their brain as you are for your neurotypical brain. So, yes, in a sense.

Do you think the vast majority of these so called psychopath killers understand right from wrong? Or do you think that in actuality, the number of heinous killers that are truly mentally ill is miniscule compared to those that are actually chosen evil killers?

I have a few thoughts:
(1) There are neurobiological markers of psychopathy that would distinguish as psychopath from a neurotypical individual.
(2) Anyone that kills someone without reason can almost instantly be assumed to have a "mental illness".
(3) The decisions one makes are, when reduced, a product of activity below the level of conscious awareness.
Also, I don't believe in "evil".
