Isn't that illegal to test urine for pregnancy? There are federal laws preventing asking about it during an interview but your company tests all urine for hcg? Wtf?

Was a long time back, when you applicants had no rights. Evidently they tested everyone, or at least suspected the guy wasn't being honest.
Now, I'd have someone go in and watch him piss like They did to me when I got out of army.

I didn't have to pee in a cup. Just blood test for communicable diseases. I signed a ton of consents....don't think you could arbitrarily test for pregnancy now :)

didn't learn much after conviction eh? You only passed the "instant" dipstick test. If they ever send your stuff to a lab, it's gonna be bad.

Can't say how much is too much on the overhydration issue, Varies due to body mass, exercise or lack of exercise. Sophisitcated employers will probably make sure you get tested on the next random. The mid stream & pectin business is total bs. Pectin only worked until labs began using specific gravity and pH measurements -about 25 years ago. If it was that easy, don't you think Ricky Williams would've had a little more time in the Pros?

learned not to get caught. Passed what was given and I guess that is all that mattered right? He asked how much water diluted urine, I gave an answer.

He doesn't smoke and works out daily so I feel safe in saying he isn't doing it on purpose.

Ok people, please don't ask me how I know this but I have three bits of advice for those of you trying to pass a urine test:
1) the little dipstick cups they do in the office are 30 - 50% effective at best. Always challenge the results, no matter what.
2). If you think you might be tested, drink sure-jell - that's the stuff from which your Granny makes jelly. You can also take high doses of niacin. These will throw a false positive on a dipstick or cup every single time. Please don't act like cheech and Chong and bring in someone else's urine - that's just unwarranted and dumb.
3). If they are sending your sample off to a lab for confirmation you are screwed. Those labs can take a few drops of urine and determine what and how much down to a metabolite. They can also detect any adulterants such as (uh hmm) sure jell. It's amazing what those machines can figure out.

IDK, every test I ever did was diluted. Never an issue. I alwasy drink four gallons of water a day before one.
Carry a jug around 24/7 and drink to you puke and then keep drinking.
