You don't tip movers if they move you, or a pizza delivery guy? I'm not saying they deserve 20% of the bill, and I certainly wouldn't feel like an arse if I didn't have any cash and couldn't give them anything. But these guys were nice, delivered same day, so worked way after hours. Seemed like I've tipped for very similar things over time.

I bought a Tempurpedic on condition it be delivered that day (a Saturday). I heard them call one guy, no he was drunk. They got another dude, but he was not happy about coming in.

When they showed up, the 2 guys were very friendly and good, but they said I made them miss the college basketball game they were watching,

I gave them $10 each. I wish I had given $20 in retrospect. (I had the $10s ready before they arrived.) I'd hate to get called in to work in the middle of a game.

I remember getting a fridge dropped off in Nola. I didn't have much cash, and was kinda broke at the time. I asked the guys if they wanted anything. One said, "yeah, I'd love a cold drink."

I looked around, but only had beer, water, and warm sodas in the back off my truck. I offered them a beer or water, and he said, "nah, one of them cold drinks."

Turns out he was talking about the warm sodas. That's when I realized people in Nola will refer to any soda, regardless of actual temperature, as a cold drink.

I always tip 10-20 each depending on what its and how long it takes. I always try to tip each worker separately, or at least make sure they all see me give the money to one of them and tell them to split it.

I used to deliver furniture during a summer off of college. The store I worked at, only had 2 employees, the owner (bitch old lady) and a salesman, then me and the other guy to deliver the goods. Of course we got paid shite, and we never had a full week, but both of us were in college and that was fine for us. However the pay was ok, at the time, but tips would always be nice.

I would say tip them depending on what the work is and if there are stairs involved. I know most places charge a fee for delivery but most of the that goes to the owner. Plus look at the work and see how much of a pain in the arse it would of been for you and tip accordingly. Either way if you tip or not, always offer a cold glass/bottle of water. Plus if you are a woman, a complimentary blow job would always be nice. I could never get this fantasy to come true.

Do you tip building contractors, landscapers or propane delivery man? I put movers and furniture guys in this class and figure the bid or selling price should cover it. The value added services like food delivery deserves a tip because the product costs the same whether I go get it or they bring it out.
