I think it would take even the most highly trained individual at least that long to do that. Its not like you're clearing houses in Iraq and constantly scanning for targets; you're watching a movie with your SO and/or kids when this pops off and completely taken off guard.

I got a permit this year. Been going to range every couple of weeks. I'm pretty confident that at 15 yards, I can hit the guy several times and that's with a glock 27. With a glock 42, which I'd probably have in a theater, I'm more accurate.

Is this supposed to be 15 ft? 45 feet, several times, in a short amount of time, is not likely unless you have been shooting a long time.

15 yards. I shot 90 on the state law enforcement test. Can show you my target if you like. Didn't miss until I got out to 25 yards with a Glock 27 (.40). My instructor was a Swat team instructur. I go to range, I'll fire a mag or two, take pics, text to him, he sends me feedback, fire two more mags, take pics, etc. This is when he can't coach me in person.

Hehehe. I know where you are coming from. I know its an easy test but I outshot alot of cops. That is what is sad. I only had two shots miss the silouhette but there were a couple of others that hit but not in the area that was supposed to be hit.

I might be mistaken, but it sounds like you're being a smartass.
Anyways, for me, CC isn't about picking off some psycho 40 feet away while he sprays the room I'm in. In that scenario, I'm probably ducking for cover just like everybody else. I don't own or carry guns to protect everyone in every situation. If I'm on the top row, which I almost always am, I'm gonna be on the damn ground. But if that motherfricker walks up the stairs next to me, I have a MUCH better chance to live than some dude who is basically just gonna cry and plead for his life.
If I'm in my house or a mall or parking lot I'm probably not going to sprint at a shooter and take him out mission impossible style. I'll try to find cover, and if the shooter makes his way to me and I'm no longer in a relatively safe hideout, I have the opportunity to kill the shooter.
Scenario 1: You're around the corner in a mall and a shooting breaks out and the guy walks up on you and all you have is lent in your pocket.
Scenario 2: Same thing and he walks around the corner and you have a gun pointing at his chest.
Which would you rather be in? I have the right and damn sure will make use of it to have the opportunity to extend my life in that situation. I can't even imagine not owning a gun for reasons like that. Is hating the 2nd amendment worth possibly having to plead for your life as you eat a bullet...or even worse...?

90% or 90 points? The La POST handgun qualification test has a max of 120 points with a minimum of 96 to pass. And you don't go "out" to 25 yards. You start at 25 and move in.

I echo everything you say here. I am actively working to get the laws changed here in TN so that the No Weapons signs do not have the force of law. The signs apply even to us that have HCPs. Although, I don't let the sign tell me what to do. And I don't think it's right to force people to choose to be safe or to be legal. I carry right on past these signs unless the place has armed security or metal detectors or both.

Yes it requires practice.
But one thing is certain. If you don't have a gun on you, your options are almost cut in half. Thats why they attack gun free zones. Because they're pretty sure everyone there will have to choose flight instead of fight. As soon as someone with a gun shows up, they rarely fight back.
