yes, the Big O&G companies are investing in a lot alternative energy because they have the cash, infrastructure, and staff to do so while planning for the future. BUT, again BIG O&G and our dependency on them for fuel, lubes, plastics, and other oil byproducts isn’t going away in our lifetimes. 13% of the world still doesn’t have running water and/or power, we need O&G for that. So, I’m not sure what your point is.

I was or less backing up your statement that the Big O&G companies aren't going anywhere. And I agree with your statement about fuels. Before solar I was in oil and gas, both upstream and downstream. I can't imagine that we'll be flying on electric commercial jet liners in my lifetime
