These numbers are meaningless without knowledge of a base. A better spinoff thread would be how much on absolute dollars your salary has grown over a period of time.
He difference between starting at 30K vs 50K vs 70K can be hundreds of percentage point differences.

Finished grad school in 2006. Make a little over double that now. Expenses are way more now too with two kids.

Started at 42,000 and now I'm making a little north of 70. I did switch careers.
Edit: this has been within 6 years.

Out of college was making $10 an hour producing an afternoon drive show at a sports radio station in Dallas, and on the weekends I continued the valet job I was doing in college and was making about $300-$400 a weekend doing that, plus in the summer I was doing the grounds crew job at a minor league baseball team I also did in college making $50 a game
Now I make $85k in my main job and am about to start a 2nd job waiting/bartending at a restaurant. Hope to clear $100k annually

3 years out of school, roughly 18% more than when I started.
I'm assuming these people posting 300% increases in very short time spans had shite jobs coming out of school? I can't imagine making 3x what my starting salary was with less than 10 years experience.

I guess I could see some marketing, finance, management, etc. majors going from 30k to 90k in ten years

I got a 10% increase last year which was my first year of working

How does that happen? 6 years of work and you're at 175% of your starting pay? How many moves did you have to make?

Depends on your field, but you can do that in less than 10 years.
ETA: 7 years for me and 3 different organizations (excluding a merger/buyout).

When there's 50 people applying for entry level jobs businesses are not exactly backing up a Brink's truck with cash.
