My wife got into that Mona Vie (sc) a couple years ago, after some of her friends pushed it on her. Well I went to one of the meetings and told one of the top guys that I thought it was a scam and he got pissy with me. Anyway after we lost a couple hundred my wife agreed, now her friend in some other scheme.

My best friends parents do Team National. They asked me for about a year and I respectfully declined. I got tired of it and told them that I don’t believe it’s a valid business. They acted like I said some ultimate sin.

Is it Lipsense?

Cause their product SUCKS. What a waste of money. Friend's cousin was selling that crap and my friend talked it up like it was so great. So I bought a kit ($50 fricking bucks for lip gloss but whatever). Yeah the stuff stays...but it dries your lips out really bad and cracks.

I got involved in one for about 6 months. There were people who made good money, but they had been doing it for years. I think I lost a lot of credibility when I was working there. When I quit, friends were telling me they were glad I quit. Family too.

My wife has a friend that has now been doing Rodan and Fields since 2014 and shite you not, they just bought her a Lexus for making some high level of sales or something.

She is the exception to the norm.

Most who sell these products are adding a monthly income of a grand or less. Most quit after a year. BuT someone does make it big on that stuff, now and again.

99% don’t make any and lose money, they are pawns.

Then a small group do ok, the top makes a ton of money but they have no real friends.

Basically you can OT baller at the top, but it’s a scarlet mark to those that have real degrees and real business chops. These top level people have no moral conscience about ripping people off.

Ole lady makes a couple grand a month with minimal effort. I thought it was a gimmick at first until I started seeing the actual money. Nothing outstanding but an extra 2k for doing basically nothing isn’t to bad lol

Howard Carter traveled a lot for his pyramid scheme but was estimated to be worth about $19 million when he died in 1939.

The amount of crap people sell on Facebook is astounding. I really feel like I'm the only one not trying to sell something sometimes

Many of them LOSE money. Remember, sales =/= profit.

You might have sold $1k of shite this month, but if you spent $1500 in inventory, you're still out $500. They refuse to see that though.

It's like people who stick $20 in a slot machine and win nothing. Then stick $20 in a different slot machine and win $40. They didn't actually come out ahead, but in their brain, they doubled that $20 on the winning machine.

My wife sells lularoe. She isn’t way up high on the pyramid, but she does have some people under her. Most of her money comes from her sales. She made enough to quit her job as a psychologist because she was making more selling clothes.

She hustles her arse off though. She clears 6 figures, but it has taken over about 900 sq ft of our house. We know it won’t least forever, but it has been nice having the extra money for the last few years. She never pressures family or friends into burying things, she has grown her customer base organically.

Good news is that whenever the fad ends, she has a PhD to fall back on

I do not understand the obsession with this at all. I have multiple friends on fb that sell this and the items they post for sale...sorry just don't see the appeal of most of the stuff.

And I'm as basic a white chick as they come.
