How much is your 2nd hand stuff worth?

Growing up, we use to go to garage sales where people would sell junk that they didnt want anymore for next to nothing. Old dresser $5, old CD 0.25-$1, Book $0.50, shirt $1, etc.
But now it seems that people value their junk way more. I bought that mattress for $1000 10 years ago, I couldn't take anything less than $600 for it.
So how much is your used shite worth, with the caveat that you would pay that for a similar used product. i.e. you would pay $600 for a used mattress
I especially love the electronics people, I bought that 720p 40 inch TV for $2,000 10 years ago, I need at least $500 for it.
Not buying their used stuff regardless, just not sure where this idea that your used shite is gold all of a sudden came from.
What method of depreciation do you use on your stuff?

I found this more humorous than the actual 350 post.

Put it in your front yard with a price tag on it. Someone will steal it.

I buy guns in time of plenty and sell guns I don't like when the market benefits me.
I'm slowly transitioning to the majority of my income coming from a side hustle rather than a fulltime job.
When I beat my current salary, I'm quitting and being a bum. Through a combination of cars, guns, and bikes, I think I can get a decent enough revenue stream to fund some actual real estate investments.

I post my garbage up for grabs on facebook for free and if nobody wants the shite in about 2 days it goes to goodwill or the curb. These women that get on there trying to sell a spoon for $5 are ridiculous. I'm not driving across town meeting with a stranger for 5 damn dollars. Not to mention once I'm done with something it's pretty much crap by then and I've gotten my money's worth. I'd rather just give it away for free to someone else that could use it.

Yea I’m trying to offload a living room set and posted on Craigslist and swap FB pages.. didn’t get a hit and I’m calling someone to come grab it. I would like the 300-500 but I’m not one of those to keep posting it.

Who is buying used mattresses????

Your fricking 10 year old mattress isn’t worth a single penny.
People greatly overvalue furniture and random bullshite, it’s worth pennies on the dollar.

Changing table, dining room table, or bed from pottery barn? Probably a hundred bucks or more. Same items from Target? I hope someone picks them up so I don’t have to haul it to the dump.
Anything with upholdstery is suspect.

That's how you wind up with bedbugs in your home. Nope. Nope. Nope.
