One of my kids has been working real hard to get a full 30 gallon trash bag of crushed cans worth these days? Been about 25 years since I brought some in. Tia.

About 5-6 years ago when the price of aluminum was way up, we started collecting cans. By the time I built up enough to to take to the recycle center (3-4 trash bags worth), I got $15, and the gas to get me theyre was about $10 (back when has was hovering around $4/gallon), I decided to just let the city have it in their recycle bin.
ETA: It's somewhere around $.10 per 100 lbs, if I had to guess

According the the first link in that "Let me Google that for you" link:

People who bring in scrap cars thinking they will get the typical $150 to $200 are getting $40 per car now, she said.
Bartz said the cut-up iron price is $45 per ton. Tin is at $15 per ton.
Metals other than iron, such as aluminum and copper, are holding their values a little better. Aluminum cans are bringing 40 cents per pound. Copper is about $2 to $2.11 per pound, she said.
“I know everybody’s holding out for that 60 cents a pound (for aluminum) that you used to get in the olden days, but you don’t see that anymore,” Bartz said.
Prices are so low, she said, that she can’t even afford to send a driver out to pick up scrap metal, such as appliances or steel shavings. A 100-pound washing machine, for example, is worth 50 cents in scrap metal.
“I can’t truck them and pay my guy and pay fuel and stuff,” Bartz said.
From October 2015.

Aluminum and steel prices are down. Not enough to warrant the effort.
