Hamilton Christian in Lake Charles-Demographically, it’s a lot darker. It used to be 75/25 white and black when I was in 9th, now it’s 70/30 black and white.

The high school I went to was 87% white when I graduated. It’s now about 60% white and 30% Hispanic.

Jefferson Terrace Elementary is closed and will be torn down. A new school was built elsewhere in the neighborhood. I don’t know what happened with Buchanan Elementary after 1990. McKinley Middle was torn down and rebuilt on the same spot. BRHS is still full of weird nerds apparently.

The school I went to K-10 is gone now and rebuilt down the road. They changed the mascot too. No clue what it's like these days.

The HS I graduated from is probably better these days since they broke away from EBRP.

There weren't kids bringing guns to school at Salmen back in the 90s like they do now. Like everything else in Slidell, the fine folks of new Orleans are slowly taking over.

Elementary- in 1st grade it was all white kids, 2nd grade integration kicked in and it was 80% white. Today that school is 80% black at least, most white kids go to privates now (mine did through 7th grade)

Middle School- 75% Black

High School- probably about 60% white. The high school draws from the entire West Bank of the parish

None of the six schools I attended still exist. Two of them burned down. Coincidence?

After three years of dating I finally had sex with my high school crush. Now she expects me to take her to the prom.*

*For those of you with tender sensibilities, it's a joke.

Yep, grew up in Columbus...but you don't go to Columbus unless you have to. Went to Annunciation (St. Mary's) for K-5 before transferring to Caledonia. Good school.

Woodlawn was demolished. Lake Primary flooded. Some other schools I went to in LA,AK,TN are probably breeding grounds for young thug life.

Graduated from Tara hS in ‘87. You were able to wear jeans and collared shirts back in the 1980’s. Now you have to wear uniforms and look like everyone else.
In 1987, the enrollment at Tara was like 70 percent white. Now, 35 years later, I think the white enrollment is like 10 percent.
