re: Key West for January or February trip

My biggest advice is to rent a golf cart while you are there. Although most of Key West is close together, it’s nice being able to get places quick and easy.

Big Fish for dinner. The Jellyfish is a good place for sushi/drinks. Sloops (lunch) is in Gulf Shores but a local dive.

All depends on what you’re looking for (atmosphere/view).

If you want a great view Tacky Jacks OB, Avenue Pub, OSO or Tiki Bar. If you want a good atmosphere with live music Florabama yatch club.

re: mobile tunnel cloased?

Don’t give away the local secrets! I agree with this, I live in the eastern shore and avoid the tunnel at all cost when I go to Mobile.
Downtown Acworth is really cool, Henry’s is a must. I have a friend that lives less than 10 minutes from the Lake Acworth and really good Crappie fishing and has a beach area. It’s an electric motor only lake I believe that feeds into Allatoona.
Small world. I graduated from New Hope and have family that lives in Caledonia. A lot of people are moving to Caledonia because the schools.
Thanks for the info. I work for a material handling company in the area, but cover Baldwin county to PCB. Always interesting to see how people move products.
Earthquake — how do y’all unload off the boat?Does the lumber come in containers or bundles?

LGB.

Seriously, Brandon is safe and has tons of hotel options. You can always check out Flowood and Uber to the concert. Rankin county is a dry county so if you want liquor, buy it before you get there.

Check out cracklings for breakfast and Old Florida Fish House for dinner. They have dueling pianos on weekends, don’t know what time they start.
I would recommend staying in Flowood less than a 15 minute drive to the airport.
Like others have said it’s cheaper to buy a license than a potential fine. As you probably know, keep your head on a swivel with all the boaters coming from the Yatch Club especially past the no wake zone.

Thanks for the information. Going for a bachelors trip so regardless we will have a good time. We were hoping to have some luck though!

Delacroix fishing

Heading to Delacroix to fish next weekend. Anyone having any luck? This will be my first time to fish south LA.
TLDR. Sorry for your loss or congrats on the segs
I don’t know about private landlords, but Flowood/Brandon/Ridgeland have a lot of apartment complex options. Crossgates, Arbors on the Rez, Ashford Place just to name a few.

Everyone is moving out of Mobile to Baldwin County. You can’t go wrong with Spanish Fort, Daphne, or Fairhope. All three are a short drive on I-10 or causeway to Mobile.
Tiki Bar right beside Sportsman’s Marina. OSO (used to be Flipper’s) in Bear Point. As others have said Anchor Bar is really good.
