Morning traffic through 3 school zones back to back on a 3 mile stretch of a 45 mph road sends me into a rage every time I’m forced to drive through it. The combination of sitting through light cycles multiple times, people speeding through the zones, people not stopping for kids in crosswalks and people who don’t know how to make turns across medians (that also contain school crosswalks) is like watching a real life game of Frogger meets the Hunger Games as students wait for one person to get 1/2 way through the crosswalk to see if cars stop before they start walking.
I always wonder if the brave kid volunteered as Tribute or if he was forced by the group.

Less traffic as a whole and more the jackhole that can't drive looking at their phone and screwing it up for the rest is the bigger issue for me.
The whole world knows the signal allows 20 cars through except for the person at the front of the line on their phone having a great time.

None at all really. My wife nagging me over the way I deal with getting through traffic has a hugely negative effect though.

I used to commute from McDonough to Sandy Springs.
I feel your pain.

Working in BR and commuting, even from Tigerland to that apartment complex at College and Highland to bang the girlfriend made me want to stab people during rush hour. BR traffic conditioned me to be a clock watcher at work, never to attend an office happy hour, etc.
Cell phones were flip phones, and it was bad. Now that dickheads and suburban chicks can stare at Insta while they're sitting at a stoplight that's been green for four seconds before taking their foot off the brake...
I broke the steering wheel cover on my new truck in a little of six weeks. frick you all, I'm honking. Behavior that is not punished by the herd will be repeated. I only have to honk at approximately 68k more people in Katy, and all will be well.

I live in New Orleans so traffic isn’t a part of my life. It’s pretty nice

My new vehicle has super cruise so it just drives itself. Traffic doesn't phase me at all. I just sit back and relax.

I lived in the Broussard/Youngsville area and commuted to Baton Rouge for 2 years before I found a home closer. It was about an hour and a half drive. The stress definitely took a toll on me. I was constantly in a bad mood and drinking about double what I normally did.
Driving across the Basin at 430 every day was basically bumper to bumper but moving 65 MPH. It was rough. I live about 40 minutes from work now and if there's a day where I sit in traffic for an hour and a half I'll call in and work from home the next day because I know I'd be a pain in the arse to deal with at the office.
ETA: a couple of weeks ago I stayed at work until about 8 pm and the interstate in BR is like the wild west at that time.

It drives me up the wall. A lot of people drive as if they are the only ones that matter.
It's no coincidence that my blood pressure was 20 points higher when checked at 4:30 p.m. after a 15 minute commute in BR compared to when I went 5 minutes at 7:30 a.m. to get checked at Quest.

This. I never do anything after work in BR because I'm worried traffic will pile up

Only pisses me off when I'm actually in it.

I don’t think traffic is nearly as bad as it used to be now that most everyone works from home and most jobs are remote.

I came about a foot away from being hit in the crosswalk by some old bitch driving a Bolt and talking on the phone. That plus the parking situation has me leaning towards not returning.

I can barely handle it and it isn't too terrible in Lafayette. I would have a stroke in
Posted on 8/17/23 at 3:55 pm to GreatLakesTiger24
Because you can’t drive anywhere without losing an axel in a pothole
Posted on 8/17/23 at 4:01 pm to VolsOut4Harambe
Bigly. Especially when it's due to something like the homies shooting up the interstate causing it to be shut down.
