How much does traffic affect your mood?

Took me an hour and 20 to get to the office today (Smyrna to Sandy Springs) as opposed to the normal 35. Damn kids going back to school fricks everything up.
I find myself wanting to break everything in my path right now and not wanting to talk to anyone.
How irritable are you after having to deal with this shite? Especially you ATL and BR baws.

Murder is inevitable, I feel. Someone is going to catch me on a bad day, pull out in front of me...go below the speed limit, not signal when turning, while slamming on their breaks...and I go 100% Michael Douglas in Falling Down.

I usually keep a spare 6 pack in the car for times like these. Pop one open, turn the radio up, and relax.

Prayer (before) and Podcasts (during)

Not much traffic on my hour long drive thankfully
But when you get on the smaller highways and people refuse to go over the speed limit (or get behind a big truck) it can add 5-10 minutes to your drive and that really pisses me off

Recently took a job with an 1.5hr-2hr commute.
Thankfully I only have to make it 3 days a week, but it still makes me irritable that I have to spend 15% of my day in a car commuting to work.

It puts me in an extremely bad mood, especially during the evening rush hour, when I’m trying to go home, along with everyone else. That’s why the first thing I do when I get home from work, is to go running. It relieves me of all that anger. I like to look at my heart rate history for the day on my Apple Watch, after running, and my heart rate is always the highest when I’m driving, not when I’m running. I just think that’s an interesting thing.

I leave around 6 in the morning so traffic isn't an issue but going home in the afternoon I will check waze and take longer back roads routes to avoid just sitting in traffic. Traffic makes me want to punt a puppy

Makes my blood boil
Just too many stupid drivers on the road. People not paying attention and in their own little world

I like to think of myself as a fairly classy dude. I rarely curse and never use racial or offensive language. Unless I’m in traffic. I’m traffic there isn’t a word too offensive to be used. On some occasions I’ve even invented new offensive words because the standard catalogue just isn’t offensive enough to express my rage.
But normally I’m pretty chill.

I think I'm gonna need to go to confession for all the shite I said this morning alone

I work from home, but it took me an hour and 45 minutes to bring my kids to school.
Yes, I have to cool off for a while.

I'm hybrid so I only go to the office a few days per week and it's 4-5 miles of surface streets during non peak times. I probably spend about 1 hr per week commuting.

When I lived in Baton Rouge I was angry most of the day. The combination of poor design, dumb people and cell phones can enrage you on a trip that takes 3-4x the time it should

Traffic is a trigger!

I couldn’t get a parking spot at Brooklyn Cafe in Sandy Springs and am getting lunch drunk to put out the fire.

Before kids, pretty aggravated. After my tribe hatching, enjoy every second.

I WFH so I don’t go all Michael Douglas “Falling Down” while sitting in traffic and suffer the sensation of my soul slowly dying.
