I just do a flat $5 because the max I'll have is 2 bags solo. 9/10 times I'll get it myself unless the kid is an overbearing overachiever to make a buck.

Random hotel, I will usually cart our own stuff. The properties we visit regularly, I tip the bellhop $20 whether it's just me or with the wife. However, we have used the same bellhop, 90% of the time, over the past 20 years and he a good old baw who is a great ball buster.

Why would I tip a bellhop when I can make my wife do it for free?

Went to a place a few weeks ago and when I pulled up and asked for a cart they said that was a service provided by the bellhop. Parking was far enough away and with 7 bags of varying sizes and a big ice chest I said the heck with it.
$1 bag
$1 bag

You bring 4-5 bags with you? Are you Kim Kardashian?
I tip the front desk to get a free upgrade to a suite. That's it.

The only time I have ever had a bellhop carry my bag was when I stayed at the Montleone on my wedding night. Gave him a $20.

flat $5
This.
If my wife is with me and its a long vacation, meaning she has 487 bags, I'll give them $10+.
But usually just a flat 5.

i'll give $20 a bag and extra $20 if he doesn't bang my wife.
