Congrats.

Do you know what it's worth in the real market?

If you read the OP it's obvious he was asking what you pay out-of-pocket.

The point is not all Health Insurance plans are created equal.

Some employers offer Cadillac plans with minuscule deductibles and co-pays while others offer castastrophic plans just to say they have some form of Health Insurance available.

Asking the general question "How much do you pay for Health Insurance?" can't be answered without all these details. A "free" catastrophic plan that gets used a lot is not a bargain and the real cost of that plan is different than a less spartan plan with the same frequency of claims applied.

About $170/month for health and dental, that's with a $350 deductible.

Many are saying that they pay X and have a high deductible plan. That is enough detail for the OT...go to the MTB to discuss the payout ratios.

My company does, so I honestly don't have a clue. I only know my provider and deductibles.

$765/Month. Employer pays other half.

What kind of health do you and your family have to pay this a month? That's more than a fricking nice car payment.

I understand your point but that didn't seem to be the OP's question. Yes, most of the answers don't give enough details to be particularly useful, but it's 9:30 on a Wednesday night, and I just answered what he asked.

If you would see the true cost of most insurance policies, this wouldn't seem so strange especially once you start talking families. Many employers pay a sizable percentage of the cost.

Well all I know is I make damn good money, which is more than what I made at my previous company that I paid over 4K a year for Insurance. I now pay zero a month, zero deductible, zero for Dr visits and zero for prescriptions. I do have to pay dental on a family of 5 at 180 a month.

Zero. No health insurance here. And since no Medicare expansion in Tennessee or Alabama, no tax penalty.

But for real $191 a month. $40 for dental.

I'm very fortunate. My employer pays 100% of my Health, Dental, Vision, and Aflac supplemental insurance. They also pay 75% of my wife and child's as well. That leaves me paying about $300 per month for the other 25%. It is absolutely top-notch insurance too.
