At the moment about $550 but will be $0 at the end of the month.

Wife has about $2500 on an interest free card.

0 at the end of the month.

Only reason I have a credit card is for the rewards.

Did you really just screen shite your CC statement?

That's almost as bad as that Arky fan making a fake 1099 to post.

No need to read the whole thread .. In the past, when these threads get started, the OT carries virtually NO credit card debt, and only owes a tiny bit on its mortgage .. Also, the OT pays for everything in cash and only buys what it needs at the moment in cash .. The OT basically has no debt and are IMPECCABLE money managers .. Did I get it right ??

I don't understand how have a standing balance of $2,000 and paying god knows what in interest is better than $0 balance.

For most credit cards, there is a difference between a statement balance that is reported to the credit bureaus, and a balance that you carry month to month and pay interest on (I say most because I've heard of some sketchier card companies with different terms).

Also, credit utilization ratio is not persistent data, meaning that this is primarily a concern if you intend to apply for credit within the span of a few months.

Yes you nailed it.

As I stated earlier, the OT is a statistical anomaly.
