I screwed up and bought 2 lobsters the other day without checking the price. $88 won’t be doing that again.

I've changed around what I buy to keep the bills down, so I've been able to keep the increase down. If something I use is on sale I buy extra while it's cheaper. I've been buying cheaper products (e.g. I used to always get the yellowish looking taters but recently have been getting regular ones for a couple dollars less).

When you take a pic of my fried chicken, post it on socials, and complain for attention I will gladly point the same thing out

That looks more like a Hippopotamus starter set than food.

This is the thinking man's chicken option. More flavor than breasts and cheaper.

That pic makes me feel a lot better about my trips to the grocery store.

I usually go once a month and buy 2 or 3 bags of chips. She is claiming that 6 family size bags of chips will only last her 3 days. Even if it's a family of four,. that's crazy.

I'd be willing to bet that she's bitching and has an EBT card. That photo screams EBT.

We had to. Grocery costs are incredible, particularly meat. Anyone not feeling the crunch probably still has parents buying their groceries.

Probably wonders why her kids are always hungry too. Hardly a valuable calorie in that pile of shite.

Groceries have gone up 20-25% for me

My wife buys most of the groceries so I can’t say for sure. But based on what she’s told me, I’d guess our grocery bill has gone up at least 20%.

Not exactly sure percentage or dollar wise. I'll just say "a lot".

I went and got some stuff my wife needed for the cookout at her Dad's tomorrow, and I couldn't believe the little amount I got was over $100. I dont do much grocery shopping, but I'm not oblivious. A couple years ago, it may have been $60-$75.

Lumping toiletries that we buy at the grocery store, our bill went from 610 on average to 720. So 18%

I am curious about the grocery aspect so I've been splitting out the toiletries to get a better read. But I won't have accurate data for another 18 months.

It’s certainly gone up.

But I’ve noticed that not one store has everything I need, so I find myself going to 2-3 different stores in one trip.

Haven't been in your dump in at least 5 years and other than here, I don't do socials. Try again. Or don't.
