Mommy always said to keep some greens in your diet. Thats why I spend half my grocery budget on 5 cases of Mountain Dew and Sprite for the week.

The beetus is going to cost way more than 155 a month.

You can literally buy a sack of potatoes and a sack of rice for 20 bucks. Add in 50 bucks of chicken thighs. Less than 100 bucks a week

there ain't a single meal anywhere in that pile of shite

ETA: Used to consider it a big win when I could make the weekly grocery run for just under or just over $100. (shop at Publix, 4 human household) Now it's a huge win if under $200. Shits high as giraffe balls

chicken thighs.

This is the thinking man's chicken option. More flavor than breasts and cheaper.

I'm going to have to get a second EBT card if prices don't improve.

Chips are a lot more expensive now and you get less. I just don’t buy them. I’m still buying stuff on sale and a lot of the staples I use haven’t gone up much.

About $400/month. Basically double. Add in gas/diesel and President frick-face is doing quite a job on Americans.

But if you grill it instead of frying it, it’s fine. Can be washed down with a Diet Coke for the win.

We used to spend $80-$100 a week on groceries for my family of four. Now we spend $130-$145 a week, so definitely enough to make us cut back elsewhere. We’re very frugal people though.

Edit: I’d like to point out that most of the stuff in that pic is pure junk. We cook at lot so buying chicken and pork over beef saves a lot of money. When we do get beef, it’s usually when we get the huge chub of meat (my wife loves shopping for that) at Sams and then cut it into tenths for ten pounds of 80/20 for $30. That lasts for a little while and helps out.
