Once last year, not going to lie I was actually excited about it. Anyways, I called the day before I was supposed to go. They said my services were not needed. So I'm 0-1 lifetime.

No. I wasn't registered to vote when I got two summons while in college.

When I lived in Orleans I got a grand Jury notice. I got out of that because I was in school. I won't talk about the 4 other notices I got for Civil court. Since I have been in Jefferson Parish (8 years) I have gotten 3 +. One I went and didn't have to serve the other I got an email saying that I didn't have to show. I called and asked why am I being called so much and they said it was a computer generated list. I haven't been called in about a year and a half.

I have never been summoned. Oddly I've always been curious to experience the process.

I have been summoned three times and served in the jury on two of those.

One was some guy trying to sue EBRP school board for millions, we didn't give him a dime. His lawyer was the cheesiest person I have ever met. He tried like Hell to get us (the jury) info we were not supposed to know about. The judge threatened him with jail time if he did it one more time.

The other was a second degree attempted murder and first degree attempted feticide. We found him guilty on both counts. He received 75 years.

I like jury duty but my work pays me when I am called. I find it very interesting.

2 times. The last time was this past summer. I completely forgot once the week rolled around for me to report. I woke up that Wednesday morning and started freaking out because I was supposed to report on that Monday.

I called and they just put me back in the pool for the next time. I thought I would have a warrant but the lady said they don't do that. She said if they really needed people that bad, the sheriff would have just showed up at my house and told me to get to the courthouse.

I've been summoned a few times but almost every time it was canceled when I called the day before. Except for the last time a year ago and I ended up getting picked to serve on the jury. It was a civil case that didn't take too long. Wasn't that bad of thing to go through. I'm sure my opinion would of been a little different the case caused me to miss a week of work.

She was 8 months pregnant with his baby. He shot her in the chest, the baby had to be delivered that day in an emergency.

Come to find out, this happened about 2 miles from my house and on my birthday.

once, the lawyers had zero interest in having a 35-50 year old white dude on their jury. I was dismissed. It was a federal gun case.
