And what were they?

I remember a couple from my college days. One was some insurance company called Primerica and the other was an energy drink called Blu Frog .. seemed as if they never actually provided goods or services but claimed to get loaded by getting friends and family signed up.

My friend, the better question is how many opportunities have you missed out on?

2 or 3. Think everyone's had a run in with vector and the cutco knives. Went to a meeting at college that a professor recommended that sold textbooks or some such shite. Also was contacted by some sketchy insurance company.

Just Amway. I bought in - briefly, but only really pitched to one other person who wisely declined.

My only real defense is I was still in my 20s.

Just once. Once was all it took. They claimed afterwards that I was rude and not a true friend.

They have since declared bankruptcy and are divorced just like I said would happen.

While I was getting my master's some dudes tried to get me to sell Limu with them.

I've had cutco call me quite a few times, I'm always surprised people are dumb enough to fall for that stuff.

I remember a cousin of mine pitching Amway to my folks back in the early 90’s. They listened politely but didn’t bite. The only other time I’ve ever been asked to buy pyramid products were from co-workers who did the Mary Kay thing or Metaluca (spelling?)

Dude the guys from Team National have been driving me INSANE lately. I’m trying to be nice to one of my friends about it and not hurt his feelings but damn. I’ve had to hear at least 7 different peoples “stories” about how successful they were.

One of the biggest disappointments of my life.

I was just out of LSU and in my early 20's. Saw a lady pull over with a flat tire across from TJ Ribs on Acadian late at night. The area was a bit sketchier back then so I pulled over to help her.

She got out of the car and was STUNNING. Early 30's and an OT 8 or 9, dressed very well, jewelry, the whole package. I changed the tire on her car and flirted the best I could and she asked for my phone number telling me she had to "get home to her husband but would be calling."

She called me two days later and asked me to meet her at the Embassy Suites "for a coffee." I was already writing the porn script in my mind. I got dressed in my nice jeans and a button down and hauled arse over there.

I walk in to her and her husband sitting at a table with a pile of AmWay (it was either AmWay or the other similar one that was running at the time) brochures. I listened for a couple of minutes, excused myself to go to the bathroom and skipped out a side door.

I made my first million out of my one bedroom apartment all by placing ads in the classified section of newspapers.

Got invited to a "meeting" that turned out to be Amway. They talk shite for an hour or so and don't tell you the name until the end.
