He was a feisty old war vet. He was 86 and had 7 wives and 5 kids. 4 with my grandma and another son who we didn’t know about until several years ago, but they were able to connect in his old age once his son found him.

He loved to dance and cook and lived a good, interesting life. Definitely loved the ladies up until the end. Flirted constantly, guess I got that from him.

The wife has struggled more with shortness of breath, fatigue and overall flu-like symptoms.
this is where my mom is right now. except she just has a tight chest instead of shortness of breath. its been a couple days so im hoping this is the worst and she will just have to ride out feeling bad for a few more days

I have two friends in Nola (one is 29 and other is 30) who tested positive and another who is 31 in Montana. Fortunately they have all recovered but one is an ICU nurse in Nola and was telling me yesterday about the scene at his hospital and it sounds like a nightmare. Basically was saying how fast it hits people and there isn’t really anything they can do since there isn’t any protocols to follow. Said in some cases people come in not needing help breathing and then by that evening they pass. Heartbreaking stuff.

I'm not really concerned. If I have it I'll just quarantined like I'm supposed to until it's over.

Until the fibrosis starts to set in.

Let’s hope you don’t have it.

I talked to one of my friends today that just got over it, he said he wouldn’t wish that shite on his worst enemy. He went to the hospital, had pneumonia, didn’t get out of bed for 6 days.

A week of discomfort and eventual full recovery seems like the most reasonable thing to wish on your worst enemy.

Can we reserve this overplayed saying for cancer, loss of a child, truly terrible things like that?

Tell your buddy to get a fricking grip.

An old Army boss of mine died a week and a half ago from COVID-19. I worked for him in the year after 9/11.

ETA: He was in his late 50’s and his wife is a doctor. he was a good man.

I knew one guy who died. He was only 38, but he had diabetes and some other health issues. I know 4 who have it right now. Three of them seem to be doing fine with it, but one of them is on a vent in the hospital. It's not looking too good for her.

One. Hes over it.

Unfortunately I have to work in new orleans for two weeks starting today so I'm a bit nervous about getting it.
