I know a lady that was diagnosed in March then again in May. She was admitted to Ochnser Kenner and was inpatient for 2 weeks in March. Recovered and was discharged. Started working again without symptoms or concerns. Then in May she became sick again with the same symptoms that she had in March and was admitted again and died. PCR was positive each time but No way of knowing whether or not she got it twice or if she never fully recovered. Either way, she didn't make it the second time.

No she doesn't. It's been well documented that, while not impossible, it's extremely rare for someone to become reinfected. This woman sounds like a count.

Do you personally know of someone that has gotten the Covid twice?
I know of one in our workgroup. Once in March, and one in September. Both confirmed with test results sent into the office.
Outside of that, I haven't heard of any. I'd say it is extremely rare, but not impossible.

I believe my wife has. She had all the symptoms in February (high fever, body aches, lost of taste and smell, but negative flu test), they just didn't even have test available for it at the time. Within the last month I've tested positive and she had all of those symptoms again, although not even 1/3rd as severe. She got tested this time.
I've seen that antibodies only last 90-180 days, so the timeline checks out. The fact that her symptoms weren't as severe gives credence to the fact that she likely had it previously.

See, maybe I'm to quick to judge. That's why I thought to ask.
Good thing, that you maybe have gotten over it without to much trouble each time.

Cancel her arse like Twitter, FB, & the like for spreading disinformation. I had it early before there was even a test for it, but a simple blood draw for the Mayo Clinic test confirmed I had the antibodies. I had pneumonia back in February, but negative for both flu strains. University ran a clinical study here on those w/ the same case conditions as mine to get a true grasp on when community spread actually began & at that time they were hurting for plasma donors.

There have only been 38 out of over 20 million supposedly confirmed of getting it twice, and of course you know someone

I do find it strange that she publicly broadcasted that in the beginning of all this. I told my boss and close friends but definitely was not advertising that I was really sick since at that point people treated you like you had AIDS

Zero, the people I know that have recovered think they are day walking vampires. They wear the Covid gear like a disguise to blend in while they laugh at the sheep behind their back.

Lol, I agree with you. Strange to broadcast to the company. She was literally the first person I knew say they had it and she did in a big broadcast to close to 900 people.

I do know people that I work with that took a "corona-cation". They called in saying they either took a test that came up positive or they were in contact with somebody who was positive. They were paid to stay home for a week and came back looking like they just came back from a vacation. There's a lot of that going on right now. My company doesn't require a negative test to come back (which is odd). Sounds to me like maybe the lady you're referencing did one of those deals the first time, and got a positive test the 2nd time. She may have even felt under the weather and embellished it and said she had Covid 19 the first time when she didn't even test or know for a fact that she did.

Even if you get truly get covid twice, one of those 20 our of 20,000,000 people, your immune system will 100% combat the virus better the second time unless like I said you are doing crazy bouts of chemo or something else extreme between infections

My sister got it twice about 2 months apart. She only got tested the 2nd time to prove she was right and to confirm the similar symptoms.
So she didn't get it twice

True, I have no idea if California even had test back then. She could have been one of those assumed positives, but the tone of her communications is what struck me as so odd.

There’s been like 33 documented cases of covid reinfection worldwide. 40 million total cases. Statistically its insignificant and not something we should even be remotely concerned about.
