I am essentially maxed out of my vacation days and realized that, since I get two new vacation days a month, I can literally take two days off a month and still be at the max.
Especially given I'm unhappy with the direction the company is going, might as well take my two free days off a month, even if I don't have anything going on.
Because...why not?

I get four weeks vacation, while my wife only gets two. So, I have a lot of vacation days to burn on whatever I want. I’ll take some days off between Christmas and New Year’s. Burn like three or four days and get right at two weeks off. Or if a Holiday falls midweek, I’ll take a day or two to make it a really long weekend.
But my favorite is to take a random Friday off. As for what I do, everyone knows the answer to that question.

I’m off fri-sun every other weekend. I usually choose to do OT on Friday but I’m actually going to take the fourth off since my husband will be off too.

I would rather have five Fridays off than to have a weeklong vacation personally. I take them off all the time (usually it's just half days on Friday for me).

My last job we did rolling 10s for a few months. Shift A works M-Th, Shift B works Tu-Fr. You end up working M-Th, off Fri-Mon, work Tu-Fri, off Sat-Sun then start over. Every other weekend is a 4 day weekend.

Some of us work jobs that can be very stressful. As a man, sitting at home and 'not doing shite' is a vacation and a breath of fresh air.

I do, and I usually spend the first half of the day doing chores, and then I'll go get lunch and some beers somewhere and just relax.
