Any drug addict will come up with any accuse they can think of to validate their addiction.

Weed users aren't addicts.

Objectively less harmful than tylenol, NSAIDs, alcohol, and cigarettes. It amazes me when people support alcohol and cigarettes, especially, but do not support the legalization of marijuana. Not to mention the medical benefits. Just look at Colorado. Legalization there has raised millions for their school system and the number of opioid prescriptions and overdoses have decreased significantly

Absurdly false statement, that it’s safer than Tylenol and NSAIDs. Statements like this hurt your cause because they’re demonstrably false. We as a society have made peace with tobacco and alcohol, both are carcinogens which is a valid point. But now we’re increasing access to another carcinogen that has mental health risks to boot.

I am not sure what is so wrong about that ad. Every girl I ever knew who smoked pot was pretty much a slut. Pot = 100% slut

And? Why should government interfere with individual choices?

As long as we as a society have to pay for those choices, then yes. Sign out of access to Medicare and Medicaid, pay for the consequences of your decisions, and then we can talk about your ‘individual’ choices.

You are ignorant as frick or just plain retarded if you are against states deciding for their self whether to partake in legalization. Yes I believe in full blown legalization but I believe more firmly that the states should decide what it does by the people that live there. Now lets hear what you republican'ts and democon's jv beta responses.

I work in mental health and a lot with adolescents. Have seen the effects of what it does to a young brain. And it is without doubt a gateway drug. Anyone who says differently is either naive or an addict.

Don't like the government in my business, but this is one case where MAYBE it would be justified. So many stupid people these days.

I have never smoked pot, but from what I have seen it doesn't appear to be any more dangerous than alcohol. And alcohol is not illegal.

I prefer shame and letting drug users suffer the cruelties of life than expending so much on law enforcement effort on them.

I would not mind drug dealers being given Proscription in the Roman sense.

quote:

An early instance of mass proscription took place in 82 BC, when Lucius Cornelius Sulla was appointed dictator rei publicae constituendae ("Dictator for the Reconstitution of the Republic"). Sulla proceeded to have the Senate draw up a list of those he considered enemies of the state and published the list in the Roman Forum. Any man whose name appeared on the list was ipso facto stripped of his citizenship and excluded from all protection under law; reward money was given to any informer who gave information leading to the death of a proscribed man, and any person who killed a proscribed man was entitled to keep part of his estate (the remainder went to the state). No person could inherit money or property from proscribed men, nor could any woman married to a proscribed man remarry after his death. Many victims of proscription were decapitated and their heads were displayed on spears in the Forum.

Yes. We aren't stopping anybody from doing it. Just making criminals out of addicts.

I'm not, but I'm also not clamoring for it's legalization 24/7 either.

Leave it up to the states to decide. I'd personally vote to legalize it. So long as someone's actions aren't infringing upon the rights of another, I don't care what you do.

Legalize and tax it. It's the only new tax I'll ever vote for.
