You’re my neighbor to the back. Last check in I heard was very minimal as far as damage goes. We lost some vent caps and a few ridge shingles but overall the back was spared.
Still can’t get into or out of the neighborhood without a high water vehicle.

Update from Cleco:
TRANSMISSION: There is light structural damage and minimum tree interference to Cleco Power's transmission system following Hurricane Ida. Within 48 hours, Cleco’s transmission system will be energized. However, our transmission system is dependent on interties with other utilities. Accessibility will be a challenge given that transmission runs over difficult to reach areas (i.e. canals, marsh) and much of the area is flooded. We have four helicopters available for patrol, as well as airboats, dozers, track hoes, giraffes and marsh buggies.
DISTRIBUTION: Restoration efforts are ongoing in tandem with damage assessment efforts. Damage assessments on the distribution side will be 75% complete in the next 3-4 days. From initial reports, we know the damage is significant and restoration will be a multi-week event for some customers. Restoration efforts are ongoing in tandem with damage assessment efforts.
Below are estimated times for restoration (ETR). Additional ETRs will be shared, as they become available. If you do not see your area listed, we do not have an update available for the area at this time. Please note that unexpected damage or inclement weather could impact restoration efforts and timelines.
Franklin: ETR is today, Tuesday, Aug. 31
Patterson/Berwick: ETR is tomorrow, Wednesday, Sept. 1
Covington/Madisonville/Mandeville: Today, crews continue working on critical infrastructure. There is a large number of broken poles and downed trees being reported. Dove Park and Hunt Drive substations are energized and crews are working on energizing other substations. Some customers on Dove Park Road and Hwy 59 will have power restored today. We will have more updates as the day continues.
Slidell: There are a large number of broken poles and trees on lines being reported. Crews have restored power to 90% of Slidell Memorial Hospital and are still working on the other 10% which comes from a different feed. They are working to restore full power to the hospital today. Crews are working on restoring power to a city sewer pumping system off of Terrace Ave. Power should be restored to the sewer pumping system later this morning/early afternoon. We will have more updates as the day continues.

I’m off of river road in Covington and expect to be out of power 4 - 10 days. Multiple poles / transformers mangled from fallen pine trees.
Got gas up interstate 59 in Mississippi. On the drive back it seemed most of the Shells had gas but loooong lines; when I passed initially on the way to I59 they were closed.

Anyone know any info on WST power restoration on hwy 59 north of I-12? From info I gathered poles are still up on the West side of the hwy but snapped on the east side.
