Hey guys, I live in Chicago but my 68 and 64 year old parents live in Mandeville off sharp road and they decided to stay. Should I be really worried about them? I’m not sure what to do

They will be fine if they are prepared and have enough supplies to last a few days. A chainsaw would be a bonus. If you're sincerely worried about them and can't get in touch with them by tomorrow, I live fairly close to Sharp and I would be happy to go check on them/their property for you as soon as I can.

No, we are good though. The ladies are just freaking out for some reason.

Isaac that flooded madisonville barely put 6" of water in our ditch.

My wife is freaking out because this is the first storm she has been home. She is usually working, but cant because of pregnancy.

It's only 9:30 am and mine is already making me pray for a pine tree to drop me.

Your pregnant wife is feeling extraordinarily vulnerable. She is carrying a new life that she is responsible for keeping safe. Be patient and understanding with her.

Most of the Northshore is well higher than this. Surge won't be the issue, it will be rainfall that can't drain off.

Damn, baw! Sorry it went out so early. I wonder if it's due to a wreck???

Here in Old Mandeville the electricity is still good. The lights flickered on and off from 8 to 9.

Any idea what areas piggyback off of St Tammany Hospital grid? We took off but hoping to get back ASAP.

Ya, we got a good group of neighbors, so the ladies are being taken care of, lots of chocolate and snacks will keep them at bay for a bit. Cooked steak last night for her.
