I’ll grab a six pack of Simpler Times any time I am at Trader Joe’s.
I appreciate a good craft beer, but sometimes I like to crush a six pack and am not trying to develop tasting notes while doing it.
The same reason why I love white wines from the Rhône Valley, but will gladly house a bottle of Kendall Jackson.

Who says you can't do that? Because of sites like Beer Advocate? The people on beer advocate would rate their own farts if there was a website for it. That's a special group.

I don't drink beer often, mostly jack and coke, but when I do, it's a miller lite, Coors light or ultra

It's also the first style many start with when they start learning how to brew. Because of all the hops it can mask things like esters that haven't been consumed by the yeast so it doesn't have to be aged as long.
Compare to a Pilsner that has to be fermented at a cooler temperature and because it's lightly hopped and the lighter body, if it's not aged long enough the esters left over give it a funny taste. In some cases a butterscotch taste if you haven't done what's called a diacetyl rest.

Bud Light or Labatt Blue is usually my go to, but I have tried many different kind of beers. I like Canebrake. Honestly the only beer I ever bought that I threw away after trying is Envie. That shite tasted like what I’d imagine floor cleaner would taste like.
