My SIL has done them ALL In the 30 years I’ve known her, just so she could be a stay at home Mom/Wife.

And what does her husband think? I'm sure he's dished out his thoughts.

there’s no way she makes enough money off of any of that shite to justify it

I think the majority lose thousands a year. The gov has come down hard on them on disclosure as they should.

white trash (but hot) girl i know is shilling plexus right now. posts about it ~ five times a day on facebook.
the biggest (of many) issues with it is her audience is way too poor to actually afford that stuff.

eta: also a 300 lb girl i went to middle school with started selling pure romance TWICE.

My wife & I are friends w/a young lady selling Lemongrass - she personally used it for a few years and liked it so decided to try the selling role - she has done quite well - she doesn't "push the product" on her friends - she initially let everyone know she was now selling it and most folks tried it as a courtesy - we now use several of their products as do most of our relatives and friends - we see her socially pretty often and unless my wife brings it up, the topic never is discussed - she will send a mass email whenever there is a "special sale" on certain products but that's only a few times a year - good stuff.

No. All she has to do for extra $$$ is pull an extra shift and yeah baby.

She did get talked into a free Myrtle Beach condo weekend once...the sales pitch was brutal. Of course they made timeshares sound like the best thing ever, and she kept looking at me during the presentation. But all I had to do was remind her of how the in-laws have been trying to unload theirs for years.

Was there a big discussion about getting into it? I imagine these have caused marital issues before
I wouldn’t say big. She was pregnant at the time and just wanted something to do. I was stationed across the country in California so I just opted out of that battle.

She did her thing, realized it was a waste, and she moved on. I did have my office smelling like cookies and blueberries for a while though.

My wife did for a while, she then parlayed that into an online boutique and then this year opened up a brick and mortar store

Grew up by a lady that was big into Mary Kay. Like pink Deville big. Always wondered how much she had to sell to not only get the car but to keep it.

When every woman I knew on FB was selling Visalus 10 years ago, then R+F... I told my wife (no pics) that I'd rather she whore herself out (and the kids) before she ever sold MLM.

I don't understand how a person with any self-respect would be in a pyramid scheme. I loathe these people. They can all die of cancer, for all I care.
