I think people would be surprised at how many people from the Lafayette area actually attended Alabama. I know of four right off the top of my head.
They never were LSU fans, but Bama’s success made them want to go there. They were granted a waiver for in-state tuition so the cost difference between LSU and Bama was not much.

Yeah, it's bled into Tangipahoa as well. Well, with most of the white trash types. Our sorostitutes and fratdouches still stick with SLU at least.
I don't get it. I know of people who grew up in places like Independence, Loranger, and Tickfaw all their lives and claim they're fans of Bama. These are the same people who never venture out of the state much less have visited Tuscaloosa.
