Shopping cart thread. Whether in the ‘bin’ or randomly placed, I always grab a cart on my way in.

Why do people bitch then wait until they get to the store to get a cart?

I don't "always" grab a cart on the way in, but if there is a cart blocking a parking space, I'll grab that one and bring it in.

My husband usually does that, especially if we're looking for a smaller one; they tend to disappear quickly.

Rarely and I regret it every single time.

If its in my way, sure. But I'm not grabbing one out of the cart return thing.

I get the disinfected ones that are by the storefront

No because I’m helping the buggy boys get stronger by taking a cart at the storefront and adding it to the parking lot cart return.

Same here. The only time I'll grab one from inside is if it's raining outside or there are none easily accessible between my parking spot and the front door.

Because carts are supposed to be available inside the store.

Does anyone really disinfect shopping carts anymore?

Anyway, if there's one sitting in the sunshine, chances are it's disinfected. Grab that one if you're worried about it being clean or not.

Similar, except I will usually only grab the cart if it is blocking a handicapped space.

Upon arrival I begin assessing the current cart situation and adapt accordingly

I usually only want a small cart so I always grab one in that situation since the small ones are in high demand and rarely available in the entrance corral.

I always grab a stray buggy from where I park.

Then leave it next to my car when I leave.

I’m not like those selfish privileged assholes who wait to take one from the store entrance.

I need to allow for more time to pass between uses in hopes that some of the viruses and bacteria will die off.

I’ve been fooled before, especially with the small carts.
