Way too many, which is why I drink beer almost exclusively. There's a built in self limiting factor unless you're drinking IPAs or something. I'm just not a fan of overdoing it anymore.

Depends on the beer, but generally you drink beer to hydrate from too much bourbon.

last time i got drunk on beer i believe i was 15, so i have no idea. i believe it was a quart bottle then. that was 1967

Currently drinking a small batch IPA from a local brewery that is 7.2% ABV.
I can get through about 10 if I try hard enough. I'm not a heavy drinker though, and I don't do hard alcohol often

30 pack of Busch at 170lbs for the 2017 auburn game grilling all day at the house and made it to work for 5am the next day

I normally start feeling full after three or four. I don't have the dedication to drink enough of them to get drunk anymore.

Regular 5% alcohol beer...more than I can actually hold in my stomach. Get too full.
Ten 12oz beers is 6 oz of straight alcohol which is equivalent of 15 oz of whiskey or 57% of a fifth of whiskey. At that point I'm feeling good, festive, but not out of control. But it would take me 2.5 hours to drink 10 beers and the metabolism of a few of those would have already occurred so, I'd say 14 beers to get me happy. Twenty or more than two gallons to get me sloppy, I think. But I did just get back from Asheville and never got sloppy on a couple gallons of of stronger beers over three hours.
