Found the “it’s like this everywhere” guy anytime something negative gets mentioned about Louisiana.

Some people are just homebodies. There’s nothing wrong with it.

For the OP I’m not sure how many miles I currently have because I use them fairly often. Last summer I bought 6 round trip tickets to Hawaii for a family vacation. I think that was close to 600k delta miles.

+/- 250k. Converted some MQM rollover to maintain diamond status worry free for 3 more years on Delta. I am at 1.7M miles and would like to get to 2M by the end of next year. That would get me to lifetime platinum.

I take about 125 flights a year + have a delta credit card. I use the miles as I earn them because they are a horrible store of value.

I just booked a trip to Iceland for next month and it will actually be my first commercial flight. The only other plane I’ve been in was for skydiving. I’m finally entering that stage of life where I can explore areas of the world and I’m taking advantage.

Except there is something wrong with you mentally. Humans have an innate desire to explore built into them. If you’re missing that, you’re fricking weird

Don't feel sorry for me just because I like it where I am.

You can't assign your values to other people, and doing so makes you kind of pretentious.

You don’t even know that. You may think you do.

I honestly don't even know. I don't travel enough for work anymore to care, and with kids... we don't travel by plane pretty much at all for family stuff.

I used to travel weekly, and more than miles, I built up a ton of segments, too. I used miles to fly us to Hawaii a couple years ago, and I use them for upgrades when I feel like it.

I actually used to use the miles for the worst value of all, the old skymiles marketplace. I had literal shite tons of miles that I'd never use, so I'd pick up apple merch, gift cards, new tv, the works. It seems stupid, but the miles were free to me.

They shut down the marketplace a while back when Delta was struggling thru Covid.

Approximately 158,514 miles in the air over the last 24 years. But PHI, Bristow and ERA doesn't honor us with air miles......
