Same here. Gardere had the power back up almost instantly, but of course we had to wait.

just about every hurricane we lose power for a day or two

cant recall the names but with a couple of hurricanes it was as much as 3-4 days

with Katrina we lost power for 19 days and to be honest, we were starting to get pretty well adjusted to living without power

Cable was out for a month

About a week for Katrina

oh my god. that was the hottest summer ever and gas was at $4.00 a gallon for regular

i could either sit inside with no power or go find something to do. went to the restaurant on magazine that i worked for, baru bistro, and helped clean up. we opened every night using paper plates, candles, etc.

i made a shite ton.
