Jackson was actually a winner with accomplishments to his name and not a traitor unlike the Confederates. His statue can stay.
Doesn't work that way, kiddo

These people attacking statues and monuments won't stop until they've completely destroyed any sense of historical pride left in the USA. They will go for the flag, the anthem, the constitution. It's all going up on the chopping block.

It's a pretty simple tactic. Once you deem the founding fathers as evil, then their works are merely the fruit of the poisoned tree.

The city of New Orleans should rise up to defend his honor like he once defended the city from the British

No! While he is responsible for some abhorent actions against Native Americans and was a slave owner, he never fought against the United States as those in the Confederacy did. Racist? Probably so, questionable war tactics? Definitely, was he instrumental in protecting this country from the Brits? Damn right! He stays!

I hope they change the name of Jackson, MS to whatever they want because it is an embarrassment to his legacy

There’s a huge difference between honoring historical figures in spite of their sins (Washington, Jefferson, etc.), and honoring historical figures because of their sins (Lee, Davis, Forrest, etc.). I wish more people would acknowledge the difference.
