Maryland, Ohio, and Kentucky all announced school closures for 3 weeks

HelmetHead going on the attack on EBR keeping schools open

Glad my kid is old enough to stay home by herself.

If they do close, how many more murders will occur with kids on the street vs people actually dying from Corona in EBR?

Seems odd EBR is the only public school district in Louisiana to come out and make a statement one way or the other...are they anticipating John Bel to close schools statewide?

Seems like just a matter of time... We shall see. My vote is by Monday as well.

So is she for it against closing schools.
I’d expect against, considering that a school closure will cause many disadvantaged children to lose access to their only source for food/nutrition.

I think after the state wide ACT Tuesday, we will see districts close through Spring Break.

She is against it because she thinks the only reason they decided against closing, was due to LEAP in 4 weeks

what does the ACT have to do with it?

I'm asking the same thing, I think school systems are more worried about LEAP
Posted on 3/12/20 at 6:02 pm to LSUsmartass
They have until May 1 to complete LEAP, if closed for any time that can be pushed back. If schools are worried about LEAP just give a Mulligan this year.

Don't get too excited. When your workplace shuts down, I doubt you'll be doing much driving either.

You've been around long enough to know that one
