If you lifted weights and did cardio for about this amount of time everyday you wouldn’t have to wait at a doctors office
I knew who posted this comment before I read the user

Long enough for us to realize the doctor’s time is way more important than ours. Then add 20 more minutes.

I love making an appointment with my doctor and they always tell you to show up 15 minutes earlier to make it easier and when I do, my doctor still makes me wait like 30 minutes. Every time. I guess punctuality only should apply to me, not them.

Once back and nurse does her deal, I rarely wait more than 5 minutes. If it was longer than 20 I’d find a new one. I’m not waiting. If I couldn’t find one I’d use tele health

Doctors are the only motherfrickers that can be 2 hours late to a scheduled meeting time and everyone just seems to accept it. I have walked out before because of a doctor being so late. If he has no respect for my time, I have no respect for him.
And if they cut you off right at 15 minutes to get to the next patient you would be starting a thread about that.
And before you say they can schedule less patients, sometimes 20% of patients don’t show up or cancel at the last second. So the alternative is they can charge a no show fee. Then you would start a thread about that.

Anything short of prompt and uninterrupted service is unacceptable.
If that cocksucker had to wait 20 minutes for someone to take his drink and lobster order he would raise hell.

I’ve waited as little as 5 minutes but last time to my ent I waited about 35 minutes.
But it’s that time of the year and the Dr kept apologizing.
It’s ok because I called that morning and they squeezed me in in the afternoon.

It just really depends. If your doctor is always backed up and you always have to wait they are bad managers and overbooking. If the wait is occasional then they might just have a bad case they are dealing with.

After getting back there relatively quickly, I sat in the treatment room for an incredibly long time one time, to the point where, even though I gave myself plenty of time, I had to let them know I would be back later because I couldn't miss a meeting at work.
I almost wish they would just leave you in the main waiting area and just take you back when they're actually at least near ready for the doctor to see you.

I used to feel this way. My wife works/worked in a doctors office and they would routinely do surgeries in the morning before appointments and if something went wrong it would cause delays all day. I have a small amount of forgiveness now. A small amount

It’s a free market, you can leave and find someone else
With Obama care there is not a true free market when dealing with insurance and in network doctors or facilities. We also aren’t talking about just about physicals. If sick, needing refills, or injured you may not be able to get an appointment with a new doctor for a week or even longer. Much longer if it’s a specialist.
I have noticed since Covid it’s difficult to find a doctor that doesn’t act like you owe them for being your doctor, and getting frustrated with them or an office staff going downhill is usually part of some respect agreement you have to sign (along with getting them getting offended which is left open for typical political hurt feelings). Complaints can get you kicked out.

The early morning trick usually works for me. I try to grab the first or second appt of the day if at all possible. Have been doing this for years and have rarely waited more than 5 minutes for the doc to come in. Everyone there is usually in a better mood, too.

According to Doctors office apparently it’s 3-4 hours at least

This is why the concierge fee is worth it. I got sick of this shite.

I have had the same mfer doctor cancel my appointment for being 15 minutes late, due to a car accident, and fine me 50 bucks, make we wait 21/2 hours on the next visit.
I get when it’s due to a medical emergency but too often it’s due to trying to see 50-60 patients a day. (And quit fricking your nurses causing your wife to divorce you again and again and you wouldn’t have to pay 3 alimony’s and see 50 -60 patients a day bitch

Acceptable? 10-15 mins, maybe.
How long have I been made to actually wait before? Upwards of 45-90 minutes on multiple occasions.
Oschner on Bluebonnet in Baton Rouge used to be the world's worst.

That shite pisses me off. All they do is interpret your blood test results anyway. I should be able to go and get blood drawn and him send an e-mail interpreting the shite. I am not looking for small talk…as I see it, he is a consultant.
