I'm with you, man. I've had the same pillow about 15 years now, and it's probably a little older than that.

Very firm, latex pillow that I can NOT find a similar one to replace it. Everything now is too damn fluffy or made from memory foam. And I look for a new one constantly. I would LOVE to get rid of this old arse pillow, but not without finding an equivilant replacement.

ETA: the 2 other pillows I sleep with are regularly replaced, but not the one my head is on.

I'm all over the bed when I sleep. This way I don't have to bring my pillow with me on my journey, wherever I end up I have pillows.

I've had mine for a year. It's the Dream Infinity (Sp?) pillow with the cool gel top. Damn that thing is fine. It was only like 25 dollars too.

I hope you guys aren't the type I see walking through the airport carrying your pillow with you. Besides the nasty it gets on it from being dragged around an airplane/airport, am I to believe that these people can't sleep one night without their personal pillow?

replace mine about every 2 years, Ikea has a good selection to find the right hardness/softness.

If I keep it a year that is a stretch. I'm with your wife, that is disgusting.

My current one, about 3 years. Only way I remember that is because we got all new ones when we went from a Queen to a King sized bed. We both have some older fluffy pillows that we prop up on the headboard, and my sleeping pillow sits in front of that. Raises my head up just enough to lay back and watch TV at night, then I ditch the fluffy one and sleep on the other. I like it to be firm, but not fluffy, and I hate the down ones and similar ones that end up getting all beat down in the middle and the stuffing goes to the ends.
