Go to Bailey's instead, cheaper, has better fries, and they always throw in an extra tender or two. It's under the water tower in the old Fast Track.

Out of curiosity, because the price inflation on damn near everything has my jimmies reaching peak levels of rustlage, I looked up what a Caniac combo costs at the closest Canes to me here in Lexington.

Same as the OP for $13.69. For 7 chicken fingers? That's a GD joke.

The tenders are a 1/3 of the size they used to be. Everything is getting smaller, less quality and more expensive.

It's plain stupid. Especially when they're so easy to make at home.

Did those last night. Yes, that's my version of their sauce. Kids say it tastes just like it.

I bet those tenders are barely over 1oz each anymore. I swear I have gotten some that were smaller than that. Also you can hardly fit the tenders in that cane’s sauce container. That thing is smaller than a fancy ketchup packet.

I remember buying a box that Stuff served up at 2:30 am from the original location. Didn't cost half that much. Cane's sucks now.

Not sure if it’s 100% truth or not, but they had a falling out. Graves opened up the original Canes on the north gates, and Bailey opened up at Lee, and highland

Cane's opened up one week before Bailey's in BR. They both offered chicken fingers, texas toast, fries, coleslaw and the famous sauce (Bailey's offered a few additional sauces). They were even both open until 3 am on Thursday - Saturday.

It was like a real-life McDonalds vs. McDowell's. Bailey's did give you more though and had thicker fries and chicken. And they used to have the $1 off coupons in the Tiger Weekly so you could get that whole damn box (which back then had 5 fingers and sometimes more with Bailey's generous employees) for $4 and change. It was a killer deal.

I used to do ads in The Reveille for Bailey's and Canes when they first opened. Todd Graves and his business partner (can't recall his name) turned a shitty apartment on State Street into their HQ

I think Canes is just piggy backing on the price trend and overinflating their margins.

You can get 2 Big Boxes for 12 bucks. 6 tenders, 4 sides and 2 biscuits. Today, at any Popeyes.
