My brother was miserable with his first wife and got a divorce. Then he was happy. They got remarried a couple years ago and he’s back to being miserable. I don’t understand it

He should keep his oath to stay with her until death. He broke that oath the first time so this is his chance for redemption.

I have a friend who is on wife #5. He’s a great guy in a well-paid profession, no substance abuse or mental issues, never had trouble attracting women. Just always falls for the wrong ones.

I’m sure there is some self-improvement that needs to occur on his part. It goes without saying when you go thru brides like an axe thru whipped cream that something isn’t quite right. But you would just have to know the situation and some of the women he has married. He did not choose well.

If you’ve been married to someone for 5 years and you’re absolutely miserable and have no kids, then just end it already. If you have kids you owe to them to at least TRY and work it out.
I feel that way for every marriage, 1st, 2nd, or 10th
If someone has a rough year in a 5 year period but every other year is pretty good then that could be due to outside reasons such as work or other issues. But if they’ve been miserable or getting progressively more miserable then they need to just cut ties.

If a woman has been married multiple times, would you say that she’s an a-hole? Maybe he has this pattern of falling for woman who are controlling, mean as hell or abusive...both physically and mentally.

I have been divorced more than once which is not anything I’m proud of. I’m not going to put all the blame of things not working on them because I contributed as well.
