Just change the damn thing. Tired of hearing about it.
Although if u fly it on ur own place, there should be no issues.

Its sad that the powers that be are using this shooting as a political tool. These people weren't even in the ground and they couldn't wait to get on their political soap box. Tacky to say the least but disrespectful IMO.

The majority of Mississippians voted to keep that as their state flag. The people have spoken.

It became the flag around 2000. I think they just had a vote to change it and it failed.

It's up to the citizen's of the state to vote whether they want to keep the current flag.

I wouldn't mind going back to the "Magnolia flag" that was the state flag from 1861 to 1894.

Or replace the stars and bars on the current flag with a magnolia flower.

The people voted to keep the flag in 2001 by a vote of 65% to 35%. In certain counties where an overwhelming majority of the population is African American, the vote was roughly split.

I would be cool with something like this if it was changed.

I didn't say it should be changed. I asked what's good about it. Why are people defending it so much?

Can the Federal Gov mandate a state flag be changed? If not, I do not believe the great state of Mississippi, their legislature and their people will ever change it.
