How locked up is the electronics section in your local WalMart? How many glass cases?

I was in a bind and needed a usb cable. The $4 cable was locked, had to find a worker to unlock, and had to pay for it in electronics. I’d say about 85% of the section was in locked glass cases.
Is this standard everywhere?

I think the last thing I bought from a Wal Mart Electronics dept was a PS1 controller

Has to be when you don't stop shoplifters. They would grab a entire buggy load and walk out the door with them with half the shoppers cheering them on.

Had to buy a new monitor this week and it had one of those spider security wires around. I asked the worker in self checkout but f she could unlock it and she said “I’m not doing it. Go to customer service.” I assumed she meant she didn’t have the key so I waited 15 minutes in line at CS. Told the guy what happened and he says to me, “self checkout has a key, that bitch is just being lazy!”

Everything should be locked up.
Need to go back to that Service merchandise model where they roll your orders up to the front on a conveyor

At the Lafayette location everything is locked up in electronics. My daughter wanted a cheap stylus yesterday and it had to be unlocked. I talked to the lady in electronics about the popsockets, and she said they were being stolen in record numbers.

It means your Walmart is located in a shitty area where people steal.

The wal mart by my work just locked up the soaps and body washes. It’s extremely aggravating.

Wal-Mart is raciss. It totally depends on the area.
Stopped in at Wal-Mart on a recent trip to Orlando. The place was locked up like fort knox.
My closest Wal-Mart has an open liquor aisle with $80 bottles of Bourbon at the back of the store.
