Have we tried not telling the plants what time it is? Or maybe we can get them a dummy clock to trick them?

Keep standard time. No need for it to be daylight until 8:45 in the middle of summer. I would rather the daylight gradually get longer than shocking the system.

We have the opposite problem up north. It would be 4:12 AM sunrise in Seattle at summer solstice with year round standard time.

I love DST.

I haven't found a reasonable argument for standard time.

In the winter I can sleep an extra hour before duck hunting in the morning.

The time should stay one way or the other.

Who the hell cares when the sun comes up? Most people are at work or school anyway. I want more daylight when I am home in the evenings

I care when the sun comes up. Under your scenario why don't we just all work nights if the goal is to maximize daylight when we aren't at work/school? Let's change 8-5 to 11pm to 8am

I’m convinced that folks who want DST year round must be fricking bums… who the hell wants it to stay dark outside until 8:00AM?

And yea, I’m judging. It’s freaking horrible waking up every day when it’s still pitch black outside. Let’s keep sunrise before 7:00AM so the productive population can actually wake up with the sun. Stretches with a 6:15 sunrise are the best… 8:00 sunrise is a joke

I don't understand why you'd want it to be daylight outside until almost 9pm either. That's the shittiest time of the year in this part of the country and that's nighttime, it should be dark.

the sun tells us what time it is - when it’s directly overhead it’s noon, not 1:00 PM

Another vote here for permanent DST. Could not care less what time the sun rises in the morning. Having extra daylight in the evening after work is awesome to get stuff done, run/bike, yard work, grill out etc.
