Navy and I certainly don't meet eye-to-eye on a great many things, but this particular superlative is unwarranted.

Just because someone happens to disagree with you does not mean that they are some terrible, anithema boogeyman.

Well, you know what, I don't give a good goddamn frick. I'd rather have a heavily armed society that can act as a bulwark against tyranny, even with more gun deaths, as opposed to some pacified, boot-licking nation that as utterly at the whims of the only 'legitimate' users of force - agents of the state.

Absolutely.

The US is much different from Europe, or parts of Asia in that we're suspicious and less trusting of government. People believing things that work there must be able to work here are in need of some education.

lolumad. Real leftist of me to say that Japan's shitty gun laws wouldn't work here and state that I wouldn't turn my guns in for your wife's sweet arse.

Are you still sore about your whole "Air Ops" shtick being taken apart by MrCarton and GT23? FWIW, every military slacker in that thread was laughing his arse off at you. Who the frick chooses Air Force when they decide to go faux military hero on the internet anyway? I guess you get points for originality.

If a few people have to die from the misuse of guns in the US, I'm ok with that.

Japan also didn't riot or loot during the tsunami.

Wonder why?

You seem to only sniff out and prowl around any somewhat political post on every board.

Any African japaneese in Japan?

To be fair I'll also ask in a more demeaning way. Any redneck meth head Caucasian Japanese in Japan?

While I understand why this kind of view can make someone look crazy, especially given the dominant viewpoint in today's culture, I don't think it is all that ridiculous that someone would want to live in a country with shared ethnicity, culture, and values.

Japan's murder rate is essentially zero due to the extremely homogeneous environment.

Funny, you are trying to claim those things are the reason why Japan has eliminated shooting deaths, but ignore the fact that other countries who have employed similar measures did not.

If that were true, so what? But I try to make time to bash Les, defend Les, shite on Bama, call Aggies gay, talk about alcohol and other personal flaws, hint at how much I hate being a new homeowner, make fun of a few of my favorite posters, discuss my travels, etc. And I really do wash my hands 3-4 times an hour. That's my OCD. Glad someone asked about that earlier. My parents are convinced that it means I've killed someone because they read MacBeth, but it's really a pretty common OCD.

I have no idea what he wants. I'm just saying that 'wish' - which, I hope, is not a call to action - is not without some merit.
