We actually had a dad pick his son up in a chopper one day back in high school. Pops got out the bird with a cocktail in hand. Next day the school instituted a new policy banning the use of helicopters for student transportation

I hacked the system.

My son signs up as a walker.

I park 2 blocks away.

He walks to my car.

How Is The Pickup/Drop Off Lane At Your Child/Children's School

I drop the kids off at a sitter's house and they catch the bus from there. They take the bus home as my wife (no pics) is home by the time they get there. Unless they have an after-school activity in which we pick them up.

It is usually a hot mess for the first few weeks for pickup as new parents are getting used to the process of picking up their kids. Just glad that I don't have to deal with the carpool lane at all.
