You’re very misinformed. Tom and Gayle and Drew Brees very very much in the mix before Tom died and Brees retire.

CSP was also in the mix before he retired

Churchill was never letting those slots go unless they could sell for development.

They are bullies used to getting their way, but they need fairgrounds to fund their stupid improvements fir3 days of the year.

Was all just a media push to try to get people on their side.

But we get it. You have to make sure the board knows you are “important”

Not sure why your alter is allowed.

City Park, Children’s Museum at City Park, beignets, swan boats on the big lake, putt putt, and a world class park make it a must see destination if you come to NOLa. Very kid friendly

There is absolutely no evidence to support Gayle Benson is interested in buying the FG, none whatsoever. She's not even owning horses, or involved anymore. I am not sure where everyone its getting this BS from. Churchill owns it, until they sell it, period.

Says who? Where is your evidence to back that up? Why , because Benson once owned horses, and liked betting, on them? Brees and Payton once owed a few together with now a defunct ownership group? That was like 15 years ago. Just because people have millions, doesn't mean any they will buy businesses. Besides, Gayle cant even run a lemonade stand, much less a racetrack/casino. . She's a horrible business person, and has run 2 franchises into the toilet.

Its like that at all racetracks nowadays. Gone are the glory days. Saratoga and Del Mar are nostalgic, but they are pricing the average fan away.

Check out the bugs, the fish, D Day Museum, NOMA, and the Zoo. Celebration in the Oaks starts November 28th.

Regarding Bayou Classic, how much longer does New Orleans tolerate that event?

I love New Orleans, but I know that's one weekend I won't ever be in the city. Closet I ever came was in 2011 when I went to a Saints game the Monday Night after Thanksgiving, but I wasn't in the city proper until Sunday afternoon. At that point the Bayou Classic crowd was gone.

But from what I hear, the crowd isn't nearly as big as it used to be. I'm in Florida and it's the same as the Florida Classic. I remember even in the late 2000s when the Florida Classic was a big event, now it's a shadow of it's former self. Plus it's the type of crowd that doesn't spend a lot of money. Seems like it's more hassle than it's worth.

How many side arms are you bringing? I recommend body armor.

It's a destination. Meaning someone's journey will end.

This is as close to “kid-friendly” as NOLA gets:
