Bankruptcy, loan defaults, missed payments, late payments.

You don't need credit if you got straight cash, homey.

In college I had 1 credit card that I missed payments on constantly and carried nearly 90% usage on usually (Only like a $1,000 limit). That was my only credit history.

It was retarded as I did not know about the harms of poor credit at the time.

I still had like a 650 credit score

So to answer your question, it's gotta be real tough. Maybe bankruptcy people who have tens/hundreds of thousands of delinquent debt?

I get angry when mine dips below 800. Pay your damn bills people.

I am curios. Why does divorce negatively affect your credit?

Because once your credit is bad, it can become very hard to get it back up if poor. You need a car...so you go to a buy here, pay here lot and get absolutely raped and that lots sole intention is to take that car back as soon as possible and resell it to the next poor sap.

Then you need a bed, or a couch, etc. So you finance it at 150 percent APR but, hey if you pay it off in 100 days(which you won't), it's same as cash.

I struggled with bad credit for years but dug my way out by never doing any of these. Problem is school doesn't teach you, and a lot of people do not have a clue how to control their credit.

Sucks..but it is what it is. Some make it, some don't. It's capitalism.

A lot of people consider a loan free money and dont care about paying it back. So easy to get a shite credit score.

Pay your bills on time and keep usage below 20%...that has worked for me.

Paying off all debt all the time is sometimes hard, but you just need to minimize it and set up autopay so you never have late payments.

A few years of perfect payment history and shrinking usage will dramatically improve your credit.

You have to be really lazy and shifty, or work really hard at getting it down there. Extreme medical cases cause many people problems too.

typically the guy gets stuck with most/all of household debt, alimony, child support and her attorney bill, judge bases his ability to pay based on gross income only, does not factor in any expenses the guy may have

Not paying bills on time. Letting things go to collections.

I’ve been there, it’s not that hard. The hardest part is working your way out.

Getting locked up for violating your probation, disabling you to make student loan payments.

So essentially going to the big house puts you in the poor house.

That makes sense. I never thought about all of the extras. The way people say it; it just sounds like getting a divorce screws you.

Some people (foolishly) stop paying on "his" or "her" debt.
